Crisis Numbers

If you or someone close to you is experiencing a crisis due to mental illness and the person in crisis appears to be imminently dangerous to others or imminently suicidal, you should call 911.

For Medi-Cal Users: Individuals who need urgent medication evaluation and clinical assessment for services can walk into CRP on the following dates:

A psychiatrist is available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
Clinicians can assess individuals on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. 

If an individual is already connected to care, they will be referred back to that provider (i.e. primary care) If the individual doesn't meet the criteria for specialty mental health services, every effort will be made to connect them to a service that can hopefully address their needs.

In the event of a true emergency, individuals can and should go to the nearest Emergency Department, John George Psychiatric Pavilion in San Leandro, or if appropriate call 911.

If a person is in crisis, but the situation does not appear to be an emergency, the following options are available:

John George Psychiatric Pavilion has crisis telephone and walk-in services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  It is located at 2060 Fairmont Drive in San Leandro. Call 510-346-7500.

Alameda County Residents can call the ACCESS Program at 1-800-491-9099. ACCESS stands for Acute Crisis Care and Evaluation for System-wide Services.

Crisis Support Services/Suicide Prevention is a 24-hour hotline.  Call 1-800-SUICIDE or 510-849-2212.
Santa Rita Jail Mental Health can be reached at 925-551-6740. Mental health services are provided to Santa Rita inmates.
